Specs Boutique (“we”, “us”) is a mobile optical practice operating in Ontario. We take the privacy of your personal information — and especially your personal health information — seriously, and we comply with Ontario's Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA) and Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

What we collect

• Contact details you give us through our booking and contact forms, by phone, or by email: name, email, phone number, and address or area.
• Health information needed to provide care: your prescription, eye exam results, health card number, and insurance details.
• Organization details for workplace and residence visits: organization name, contact person, and approximate headcount.
• Website usage: basic, anonymous analytics such as pages visited. We do not use advertising trackers.

How we use it

• To schedule and carry out eye exams and eyewear fittings, and to follow up on your order.
• To bill OHIP and your insurance provider directly, where you ask us to.
• To respond to your questions and requests.

We do not sell or rent your information. We share it only with the parties required to deliver your care and eyewear: our partnered Optometrist, optical laboratories, OHIP, and your insurer.

How we protect it

Exam records are kept by the treating Optometrist and Optician in accordance with College of Optometrists of Ontario and College of Opticians of Ontario record-keeping requirements. Form submissions from this website are sent to us by email over an encrypted connection and are not stored on the website itself.

Your rights

You may ask to see, correct, or receive a copy of your personal information at any time. You may also withdraw consent to non-essential communications. Contact us at info@specsboutique.ca or 647-985-7829.
